Located in Vadu Izei just beside the mayors office and post office are our offices. Set back behind a traditional Maramures gate is an old village house renovated into our offices and art gallery.
From here we can help you discover the land of Maramures. Whatever your interests are we are sure we can provide you with a wonderful experience.
Under the same roof we have an eclectic collection of traditional arts and crafts made by the local artisans. For sale you will find traditional clothing, hand woven carpets and blankets, wood carvings, festival masks, pottery, religious icons, baskets and any number of other strange, curious and beautiful objects. You will not find better prices on these works anywhere as the artists are our neighbors and even ourselves.
If you can't make it during our hours or we are out please check at the door for a list of phone contacts you can call. There is a phone next to the post office and inside you can buy phone cards.
